My role

I am a solicitor in the Governance and Commercial department and have a role within its dedicated Charities and Social Business Governance team. I act for a diverse range of clients but have a specialism in faith-based charity governance. I can advise on a range of issues including the formation of a charity, incorporation, governance and constitutional issues, trustee duties and responsibilities, charity property trusts and Charity Commission regulatory issues.

My experience

Prior to joining Anthony Collins Solicitors, I trained at a firm in the North West and spent a number of years post-qualification developing a specialism in charity law. I have experience in working with a range of not-for-profit organisations and have been an advisory committee member of a church property trust corporation. In my spare time, I am on the Board of a large voluntary adoption charity which operates across the North of England. I also champion the careers of future lawyers as a mentor for law students studying at the University of Law.
