My role

I am a medico-legal advisor and support the lawyers in the team on all medical aspects of their work. My wide experience in all aspects of adult and child healthcare and understanding of the medical issues underpins the full holistic service that we provide for our clients.

My experience

I worked within the NHS from 1980 and worked as a senior practice nurse and team leader in general practice for over 20 years. I started working at Anthony Collins Solicitors in March 2015. I play an active part in dealing with potential new claims, providing indepth advice to our clients and the solicitors in the team regarding analysis of the medical records and clinical procedure and policy. I have found my knowledge and insight into healthcare practice is an invaluable resource to the team and our clients and I also work closely with medical experts and barristers involved in cases. As part of the claims screening process we are committed to client care and understanding the client’s needs at an early stage. As the first point of contact for new clients, I am able to empathise with them and use my nursing/medical knowledge and skills to act as an interface between the client and the legal process.

My specialisms
